Crux Sancta confesses the historic, apostolic Christian faith as received from Scripture, articulated by the Ecumenical Councils, and lived within the great Catholic and Orthodox traditions of the Church.

The Holy Trinity

We believe in one God in three Persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—co-equal, co-eternal, and undivided. God is eternal communion, perfect love shared without division.

The Incarnation

We confess that Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, became truly human while remaining truly God. Born of the Virgin Mary, He lived among us, suffered freely, was crucified, died, and was buried—for us and for our salvation.

Christ Crucified and Risen

At the Cross, Christ reveals the fullness of divine love. By His voluntary suffering and death, He reconciles humanity to the Father; by His Resurrection, He conquers death and opens the way to new life. We proclaim Christ crucified and risen as the heart of the Gospel.

The Holy Spirit

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord and Giver of Life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son (Filioque).
This confession reflects the Western theological tradition and safeguards the unity of the Father and the Son in the single divine life of the Trinity, while respecting the Eastern emphasis on the Father as the sole arche (source) of divinity.

The Church and Apostolic Succession

We believe in one, holy, catholic, and apostolic Church—founded by Christ, sustained by the Holy Spirit, and preserved through apostolic succession.

We proclaim that the full visible unity of the Church is found in communion with the Holy See, and that the Bishop of Rome exercises a unique pastoral authority as successor of Saint Peter, serving as a sign and instrument of unity for the whole Church.

This authority is not one of domination, but of service, guardianship of doctrine, and pastoral care, exercised within the apostolic faith handed down from the earliest centuries.

Our Relationship to the Holy See and the Orthodox Churches

Abba Ministries of Canada is not canonically part of the Holy See, nor does it claim juridical authority within the Roman Catholic Church. Nevertheless, Abba openly affirms, supports, and prays for the life and mission of the Catholic Church in communion with Rome. We profess the Catholic Faith as the single and true faith.

At the same time, we hold the Eastern Orthodox Church in deep respect, recognizing in her theology, liturgy, and spiritual life a faithful witness to the apostolic tradition. While Abba is not an Orthodox Church, we draw from Orthodox teachings and practices as a source of theological depth, reverence, and continuity with the early Church.

Through prayer, liturgy, teaching, and pastoral ministry, we seek to support the healing of divisions, uphold the truth in charity, and bear witness to the unity Christ desires for His Church.

The Sacramental Life

We believe that God communicates grace through sacramental signs—visible means of invisible grace. Through baptism, communion, anointing, marriage, confession, and prayer, believers are drawn into deeper union with Christ and His Church.

Salvation and Participation in the Divine Life

Salvation is the gift of God’s grace, received through faith, repentance, and life in Christ. We are called not merely to forgiveness, but to transformation—to become children of God and, by grace, co-heirs of the Kingdom, sharing in the life of God through love.

The Nicene Faith

We openly and unreservedly confess the Nicene Creed (with the Filioque) as the authoritative summary of Christian belief, faithfully expressing the apostolic faith once delivered to the saints

“That they may all be one… so that the world may believe.”
— John 17:21

Crux Sancta does not exist in isolation. Our ministry is lived within the larger Body of Christ, and the most important way to be involved is to remain rooted in the life of the Church.

Pray for the Ministry

Prayer is the foundation of all authentic Christian work. We ask you to remember Crux Sancta in your daily prayers—that we may serve faithfully, love generously, and remain obedient to Christ in all things. We ask you pray for the intentions of the Holy Father and those of the Orthodox Patriarch.

Live the Life of the Church

We strongly encourage all who support this ministry to participate regularly in the life of the Church through attendance at Mass, the Divine Liturgy, or a Christian worship service that is firmly rooted in:

  • Sacred Scripture

  • The historic Creeds of the Church

  • The apostolic Christian faith handed down through the centuries

This means worship that confesses:

  • God as our Father

  • Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour

  • Marriage as the union of one man and one woman

  • Humanity as fallen and in need of God’s mercy and redemption

Crux Sancta does not replace the Church; it exists to serve her mission.

Offer Your Time and Gifts

If you feel called to share more directly in our work, we welcome those who are willing to offer their time, presence, and compassion. Our ministry depends on people who are prepared to engage in the corporal works of mercy—serving the sick, the imprisoned, the grieving, the isolated, and those in need.

We value not perfection, but faithfulness, humility, and a genuine love for others.
